A & M Security was founded by Jerry and his wife Elaine in 1985. Jerry began his career as an Electrical Contractor and ran a successful contracting company for over 13 years before moving into the Burglar Alarm Industry and starting A & M Security in July 1985. He launched A & M Security in 1985, directing his focus on burglar alarms for domestic Market and ran the Company from Woodford in Plympton .The company was joined in 1998 by eldest son Daniel, also a qualified electrician and with this mix of experience and youth the company moved forward into an exciting new phase
In 2010 The Company went Ltd and Daniel started the Management buyout which would see Jerry fully retired in 2011. The Company also relocated in 2010 to a purpose built office and warehouse in Bell Close, Plympton. It was important to keep the company in Plympton where Dan grew up and where the Company began. A & M Security are the largest independent security company in Plympton and have a large domestic and commercial base built around a reputation for providing the latest technology to the market Commercially and Domestically. Providing excellent Service from design proposal, installation and ongoing maintenance. A & M Security now provided Security Systems for the National Marine Aquarium, Brownsword Properties and the Royal Cornwall Show to mention just a couple
A&M Security now have over 15 staff and still retain our head office in Plympton. Their passion and desire to be the very best have earned us a reputation for excellence throughout their industry
An Electrician by trade, qualifying with City and Guilds in 1998. Daniel followed in his father footsteps and started working as an engineer in 1998 and working together they expand the domestic customer base and in 2010 eldest son Daniel Laniewski, Brought Jerry out of the business and with his wife Kerry Laniewski they started a new chapter for A & M security.
Through Daniel's determination and hard work the company moved into the commercial market and A & M Security excelled with Daniel's "can do attitude" and great customer service the company quickly became the Security Company of choice for clients who want a higher quality service from a local provider. With year on year growth Daniel started to build a team around him with the skills required for the company to continue to grow both locally and nationwide.
With Kerry’s background in administration and large organisation she has been able to provide endless support with paperwork and procedures which have kept A & M Security on track and enable the development of the company. Kerry has a background in Administration and Book Keeping.
Graduating with a BSc hons degree in 2003 in Psychology and a BSc hons in Occupational Therapy in 2009. Kerry Laniewski manages the provision of Human Resource Services, along with, recruitment, marketing and Organizational Development of the Company.
Embarking in a career within the security industry as an apprentice engineer in 1992. Within a 10 year period Matt's career naturally progressed from an Installation Engineer, Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer into sales where he excelled and became Regional Sales Manager in one of the largest security companies in the country.
Matt joined the team in February 2016, with a proven track record working for National/International Companies Matt has brought in new skills and enabled the company to take another step forward, Matt brings great skills with him, knowledge experience and expertise in his role helping to Develop the business
