The National Marine Aquarium is the largest public aquarium in the UK welcoming 300,000 visitors per year (including the 30,000 school students who engage with our innovative Just Add H2O Schools Programme). Our awe-inspiring exhibits, featuring marine animals from near and far, provide an environment that intrigues, inspires and motivates our visitors to engage with our conservation messages and hopefully do their bit to help protect the marine environment.
As a self funded charity we have a range of business pillars that support our charitable work and mission to drive marine conservation.
The impressive seafront building has been developed to include facilities such as exhibition spaces, educational rooms and viewing halls. A & M Security designed a Hybrid HD CCTV solution that met the highest standards. This Hybrid HD CCTV system works seamlessly in providing 1080p high definition picture over existing coaxial and Cat 5 cabling
A&M Security are experienced in creating bespoke CCTV systems which enabled the creation of an adaptable design that meant we could meet the clients’ changes along the way. The design also cleared a number of client requirements.

There is a very wide range of environments within the building each with different daily routines. By taking this into account we provided a solution that acknowledges the varied environment, time of day and other expected behaviours.
This much-anticipated project required A & M Security to modify the design as necessary during the course of the project, to accommodate ongoing changes in the clients’ plans (whilst always continuing to comply with our high standards). Our flexible planning and design approach ensured these changes were accommodated and the system was delivered on time.
Our system gives outstanding protection to the visitors and staff of this important building. It allows them to have the knowledge of a safe environment and keeps all of its staff, visitors & wildlife secure.
Our design takes advantage of the latest technologies available to ensure the Hybrid High Definition CCTV system works seamlessly, whilst still providing flexibility and control.
